SafeHands-Express Courier Service – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to SafeHands-Express Courier Service. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Scope
SafeHands-Express offers scheduled, on-demand, and same-day courier services for:

• Medical specimens and equipment

• Pharmaceuticals and prescriptions

• Legal and confidential documents

• Meal kit deliveries

• Packages and business materials

Deliveries are available within Greensboro, NC, and surrounding areas. We provide same-day delivery within 90 miles and two-day delivery beyond 90 miles, unless otherwise specified.

2. Operating Hours
Our standard operating hours are:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Weekend or emergency deliveries are available by special request and may incur additional charges.

3. Delivery Timeframes
SafeHands-Express strives to complete all deliveries within the agreed-upon timeframe. However, delays caused by weather, traffic, emergencies, or third-party service disruptions are not the responsibility of SafeHands-Express.

4. Medical & Confidential Deliveries
We are HIPAA-compliant and adhere to all legal guidelines for the transport of medical materials and confidential documents. All couriers handling such deliveries are trained in privacy protection, specimen safety, and chain-of-custody procedures.

5. Liability and Insurance
SafeHands-Express is not liable for:

• Items not properly packed, labeled, or identified as fragile or time-sensitive.

• Delays caused by inaccurate or incomplete delivery information.

• Loss or damage to packages due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., accidents, theft, or natural disasters).

Clients are encouraged to obtain additional insurance for high-value items.

6. Payment Terms

• All invoices are due within 15 days unless stated otherwise in a written agreement.

• Late payments may incur a 5% late fee for every 15-day period past the due date.
   

7. Cancellations and Re-deliveries

• Cancellations made within 1 hour of scheduled pickup may incur a service fee.

• If a delivery cannot be completed due to recipient absence or incorrect address, a re-delivery fee may apply.
   

8. Independent Contractors
All drivers and couriers are independent contractors and not employees of SafeHands-Express. Each contractor is responsible for their own insurance, taxes, and vehicle upkeep.

9. Code of Conduct
Couriers are expected to:

• Present themselves professionally with visible ID badges.

• Handle all deliveries with care, confidentiality, and respect.

• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and delivery protocols.

 
10. Termination of Service
SafeHands-Express reserves the right to terminate any contract or discontinue services to any client or contractor for:

 

• Breach of agreement

• Non-payment

• Unsafe conduct or violation of privacy/confidentiality policies

 
11. Updates to Terms
SafeHands-Express reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time. Clients and contractors will be notified of major changes via email or posted notices.
