To join our network, you must meet the following requirements:
✅ Valid driver’s license (State of NC or applicable)
✅ Clean driving record
✅ Reliable vehicle (or willingness to use fleet vehicle if available)
✅ Proof of auto insurance (personal or commercial)
✅ Smartphone with GPS capability
✅ Ability to pass a background check and (if applicable) drug screening
✅ Must complete our Courier Certification Program
✅ Professional appearance and customer service mindset
 
🧰 Courier Responsibilities
As a Safe Hands Express courier, you will:

• Safely transport packages, medical specimens, supplies, records, and more

• Follow strict confidentiality, HIPAA, and handling procedures

• Operate within scheduled or on-demand delivery windows

• Use route optimization apps and log proof of delivery

• Maintain a clean vehicle and follow equipment protocols

• Communicate clearly with dispatch and clients

• Complete daily logs and time tracking as required

💵 Average Courier Pay

• Independent Contractor Pay Range:
  $15 – $25 per hour (based on route, mileage, and urgency)

• Common Route Types:

  • Local Medical Deliveries (STAT, Same Day)

  • Scheduled Pickups for Pharmacies & Labs

  • Home Deliveries (meal kits, packages, etc.)

  • Legal/Office/Payroll Delivery Runs

 
Pay is route-based and may include per-mile, per-stop, or flat-rate compensation.
